Manut-LM joins the Piab group

Piab Lifting Automation acquires Manut-LM, the French leader in lifting tube handling

Acquisition of Manut-LM by Piab

The Piab Lifting Automation division has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of Manut-LM, the French leader in lifting tube handling. Piab Lifting Automation will considerably strengthen its presence on the French market with this acquisition.

Manut-LM is a French manufacturer of lifting equipment with nearly 40 years of experience, focused mainly on lifting tubes. This long experience as a manufacturer, combined with a new production facility built less than two years ago, will be a significant addition to the production capabilities of the Piab Lifting Automation division. Manut-LM has a range of products dedicated to the wood industry that can be deployed at all TAWI distributors.

Objective: to develop the activity

Manut-LM will contribute significantly to Piab Lifting Automation’s turnover and make France the largest market in Europe for the division. The manager and owner of Manut-LM, Mr. Eric Gruau will continue to assume his functions while taking the responsibility of TAWI Levalair France. The ambition is to merge the two sales teams and promote both brands on the French market. Manut-LM’s export customers will continue to be managed by Mr. Arnaud Wrede at Manut-LM.

The main objective of this acquisition is to grow the business in France and in well identified export markets. The increased market reach in France will strengthen Piab’s presence and broaden TAWI’s product portfolio in key business areas.
