Absenteeism at work is on the rise
Absenteeism: figures on the rise
The number of employees who have stopped work is increasing in France. They are, in fact, 27% who took time off work due to illness or injury, in 2018. But that’s not all, because the duration of work stoppages is also longer. It is, on average, a little over 50 days per year (spread over several work stoppages).
The study, published by Gras Savoye Willis Towers Watson, also shows that the absenteeism rate is 3.6 percent, a figure that is up 16 percent since 2014.
